Volcano National Park

We explored Hawaii's Volcano National Park today. The park is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and I think this is the 4th time Alan and I have visited the park.  We also got my senior pass and now I can enter all the National Parks for free.  We did a 4 mile crater hike around the heilauki crater and also hiked to the Thurston Lava tube.  We had a picnic lunch and drove all the way to the coast.  We were pretty exhausted by 3 pm and came back to Volcano house to recharge and plan our adventure for Wednesday.  Had dinner and played cards. Off to bed early as we are heading out tomorrow at 6:30am.
