Full Family Fun - Labor Day Weekend 2016

So the forward team (Pops, Curt and Zach) headed out first on Thursday but not before significant frustrations from the trailer lights.

So we got word the forward team arrived and await the Pulaski's and remaining Chadwick's at the pickup point,
Camp Peanuts ( Bill Shultz's owner) is reached by boat and the stream into the lake is VERY shallow!

The Adult Vacation

Thursday morning the Pulaski family head home and we head to Rockland Lobster Festival

The Lobster Festival is a summer staple of Rockland and Rockland was close by so we often found ourselves on the streets of Rockland.

The tents are filled with picnic tables and lots of lobsters.

Lobster and chowder delicious!

Port Clyde voyage in search of Puffins and awesome vistas!

The ships captain provides a combination of history and folklore the entire 2 1/2 hour adventure.

Leaving camp but one more BIG event a the Owls Head Transportaion Museum before heading home.

Party with the Pulaski Family

Maine Vacation part One - Just us and the Pulaski Family

The long drive started about 9 AM

We met up with Cary, James, Cece and Sully met up with us on Rte 84 in Manchester CT traveling together to our home away from home, 53 6th Ave Lincolnville Maine

Day One - we built a fire pit. Who has heard of camping without one?

The Pulaski's set up their pop-up for their sleeping quarters, but the house made for easy cooking, washing up and rocking chair for snuggling.

We weren't right on the water but that didn't stop us from enjoying the lake Pitcher Pond

This dock makes Grandpa's look brand new!

Cece says "Dad caught a fish".

Day 2 - Camden Harbor and Hiking Mt Battie and then Gina and Christoph join the campers

A short walk from the harbor was a welcoming park where we all felt at home playing here.

Ice Cream always the perfect ending to an adventure.

The view of Camden Harbor as seen from Mt Battie
And just on the harbor walk.
Hiking at Mt Battie, well Sully didn't hike much but Cece made it farther than Nana and Summit could have gone on forever.

When we returned from our hike we were greeted by Gina and Chris.

Day 3 - The high point of the day ... Low tide at Lincolnville Beach

Day 4 Fishing from the walking bridge in Belfast.

Really, we need more than one Mackerel !

Don't lean in too far!

Sully, this is a safer way to look through.

Can he find the perfect bait?

Waiting for the fishermen in the little shade to be found.

Day 5 - Camden Harbor tour and Diana and Adrain arrive.

The Camden Harbor tour was complete with seals, porpoise, and of course lobsters!

Day 6 - National Parks turn 100 this year and a visit to Acadia is a perfect celebration!

Some favorite moments from the Maine vacation.
