More Maui

Maui has more mojo than the Big Island.

Beach park just across the street from our Maui Condo at sunset our first night in Maui. We didn't travel too far from the condo spending our day at the pool waiting for our room to be ready.

On Sunday we met Betsey and Ron's friends Bob and Deb Lombard. The greeted us with Leis and gift bags filled the flavors of Hawaii from cookies, Macedonia nuts, pineapple juice, Maui Chips, candy and more.

Bob and Deb were wonderful tour guides and helped us see the highlights of Maui.

The Maui Tropical Plantation  at Walkapu was a perfect place for endless photo ops.

Next up was the Iao Valley where many wars were fought and the needle served as lookout for the various warring factions.

We drove on to Piai for lunch at the Fish Market and a stroll around the hippie like town where we found Charlie's a bar and grill frequently by Willie Nelson and his buddies. 

From Piai we drove further up the coast toward Hana to watch the waves and ocean splash.  After a totally fine afternoon we headed to Deb and Bob's dream house just 5 minutes from the condo
